Q – What kind of college is The City College?
A – The City College is a private college registered in the United Kingdom as an independent academic institution. It has been in existence for nearly three decades.

Q – Where is The City College located?
A – The City College is about a five minute walk from Old Street Underground Station. The key fact to remember is to leave the station by Exit One [because there are eight exits!!]. This is in the centre of London and close to the business sector.

Q – Is The City College accredited?
A – Yes, with the British Accreditation Council. In fact, The City College was the first academic institution to be accredited at the formation of the BAC.

Q – How many hours do I study at The City College?.
A – You will have at least 15 hours of lectures with another ten hours of homework and assignments, a total of 25 hours. Usually the lectures are held over a three day period.

Q – What internet facilities are available for students?
A – All of the computers are linked to the internet via a high speed broadband connection [8mg]. Students have full free access to the internet.

Q – What type of teachers are at The City College?
A – Most of our teachers are native English and all have a wealth of experience within their chosen subject discipline.

Q – What happens when my visa requires renewal?
A – Just come to the main Admin Office and we will assist you through the documentation process.

Q – Am I allowed to work whilst in the United Kingdom?
A – International students may be employed for up to twenty hours per week during Term Time and as long as this does not interfere with your studies there should not be a problem.

Q – Is it easy to get a job in London?
A – Yes!

Q – What happens if my visa is refused?
A - You must inform us immediately for further advice. You have the options of submitting an appeal or to make another application.

Q – What is a Home Student?
A – A Home Student is one who has permanent residence in the UK and has been in the UK for at least three years prior to the commencement of studies [this three years cannot be as a student].
