I began my studies at City College as an adult student in Health and Social Care Management (HSC) in which I lacked in both work experience and knowledge. I was not confident of my success in achieving this course but I was willing to try. College life allowed me to meet and network with fellow students who were healthcare assistant with the NHS and this helped me to make a firm decision with regards to a career choice in nursing. My tutors were very supportive of my aspiration and I received full support and encouragement in completing my assignments. Thanks to City College I successfully completed my HND and I am currently in my first year of university as a nursing student. So far first year presented little challenges as my knowledge obtained through City College became very useful in my nursing studies. I love that City College’s culture of having an open door policy fosters learning development and builds your confidence towards success. I would encourage anyone who is interested in higher learning to consider City College.
Janet Allwood, HSC Feb 14-Feb 16The City College
I was very nervous about returning to higher education as I did not leave school with any qualifications, and doubted my abilities to be successful completing the programme. However, the staff at city college supported me unconditionally and guided me when I felt lost. I am currently achieving very high grades at university, I put this down to the excellent foundation City College was able to offer me. City College helped to change the direction of my life and I am unduly grateful for the opportunity City College was able to offer me. I am living proof that it is never too late change your life around, as I am 36 years old and well on my journey to becoming a registered nurse; something I thought would always be a dream not reality. I recommend city college 100%.
Donna Thomas, HSC Feb 14 – Feb 16The City College

Computer programming course is not easy at all. But City College is very helpful and the teachers provide lots of support which made it possible.
Omar Martin, HND COM Feb 14 – Feb16The City College
I think the city college is a small centre with a nice environment. They encourage you to finish your studies and to be the best you can be.
Erick Valdes Arias, HND COM Feb 14-Feb 16The City College
I was fortunate to enrol in HND programme offered by the city college as this college puts the ambitious students at heart of higher education, fully supports them in their education path through great and experienced tutors and wonderful people in the admin office that encourages excellence. I enjoyed that I was part of a smaller class size as made me more comfortable to express my opinions in front of my colleagues. The friendly and welcoming study environment helped me to gain experience and to improve my communication skills. Being assisted by the lectures with handouts was very important and helpful allowing me to understand and have more clarity on how the assignments should be done. I am grateful for the guidance and results I received while at city college.
